Terms of Service

These are the Terms of Service (“Terms”) for Dreamtica (“the App”). Please read these Terms before using the App. By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is an entertainment-purpose service that lets you record your dreams as a journal and, for dreams you choose, interprets the dream text using AI and generates a dreamlike image. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, psychological counseling, or religious advice.

2. Operating environment

The App runs on iPhone / iPad with iOS 15.0 or later, and on Android. Recording and browsing dreams work on-device; an internet connection is required for AI readings. No sign-in or account registration is required.

3. Pricing (Coins)

The core dream-journal features — recording, browsing your library, and the monthly report — are free and unlimited.

AI readings (interpretation text and image generation) use coins (consumable items) purchased inside the app.

  • 1 coin gives you a reading of one recorded dream (5 coins are granted free on first install)
  • Coin pack prices and contents are as displayed on the in-app purchase screen
  • All purchases are made through the relevant app store (the Apple App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android). This is not a subscription and there is no auto-renewal
  • If a reading fails to complete due to a network error or similar, the consumed coin is automatically returned to your balance
  • Your coin balance is stored on your device. It is lost if you switch devices or delete the app and cannot be restored (consumable items are not covered by the “Restore Purchases” feature on Apple or Google Play)
  • Refunds for purchased coins follow the policy of the store where you bought them — for App Store purchases via Apple Support, and for Google Play purchases via Google Play Help
  • To protect server load and cost, readings are subject to a daily fair-use cap (15 per day, resetting at 0:00 Japan time). This cap is not reached in normal use

Note: the App discontinued its subscription plans (Standard / Premium) in the July 2026 update (v1.1.0). If you subscribed before that, you can cancel from the iOS “Settings” app → your Apple ID → “Subscriptions.”

4. Handling of AI-generated content

AI-generated interpretation text and images do not guarantee complete accuracy or usefulness. AI can return incorrect information, and entering the same dream twice may return different interpretations.

Personal use of generated images and text (viewing them on your device, posting them to social media as share cards, etc.) is free, but please consult us in advance for commercial use or large-scale distribution to third parties.

5. Prohibited content

Please do not include the following in the text you enter into the App:

  • Personal information of third parties (real names, contact details, etc.)
  • Content related to illegal activity
  • Content that defames others
  • Excessively violent or sexual content
  • Specific plans suggesting harm to yourself or others

Entered content is processed through AI moderation. If moderation determines there are “signs of danger,” the App does not return an interpretation and instead shows guidance to support helplines.

6. An important note about self-harm and suicide

Thinking about death, suicide, or self-harm within a dream is by no means abnormal in itself. But if it is tied to real feelings and a painful state continues, please reach out to a professional helpline. (The lines below are services within Japan.)

If you are outside Japan, please search for a local crisis line. The App is not a substitute for medical care or counseling.

7. Handling of data

What data the App collects, stores, and sends is described in the Privacy Policy. Please review it alongside these Terms.

8. Changes to and suspension of the service

The developer may change, add to, or suspend the App’s features without prior notice. Continuity is not guaranteed.

9. Disclaimer

The developer assumes no responsibility for any damage (including emotional) arising from use of the App. Whether or not to use the App is decided at your own judgment and responsibility.

10. Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights in the App itself and in its design, logo, code, and so on belong to the developer. AI-generated interpretation text and images may be used personally by users in accordance with §4.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be revised without notice. After a revision, continued use of the App is deemed acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction of first instance for disputes relating to the App.
