Pro (CNC Setup Sheet Pro) is a one-time purchase of US$9.99 — not a subscription. There are no monthly or yearly fees.

Q. I bought Pro — can I use it on another device?

Yes. On any device signed in with the same Apple ID, open the Pro screen in the app and tap “Restore purchase”. There is no extra charge.

Q. What can the app calculate?

  • Feeds & Speeds — spindle RPM, feed rate, SFM and chip load for milling, from material, cutter diameter and flute count; results respect your machine’s spindle limit
  • Drilling — speeds and feeds for twist drills, with peck guidance
  • Tapping — tap drill sizes (UNC/UNF and metric) and rigid-tapping feed synced to thread lead
  • Converter — SFM ↔ m/min, inch ↔ mm, and feed units

Q. Where do the cutting data come from?

The bundled SFM and chip-load presets are conservative starting values compiled from commonly used shop references. They are not manufacturer data. Always verify against your tooling manufacturer’s recommendations, your machine’s limits, and the conditions of the job before cutting. Every computed value can be edited before it goes on the sheet — the numbers are yours.

Q. Can I override the computed values?

Yes — that’s the design. RPM, feed, SFM and chip load are all editable, and the setup sheet prints what you decide, not what the app suggests.

Q. What goes on the Setup Sheet PDF?

The job header (part, machine, workholding, WCS, coolant), a tooling and cut data table, the operation sequence, and setup notes — laid out on US-Letter, ready to print, share or email. On the free version the PDF carries a full-page “SAMPLE” watermark; Pro exports a clean sheet.

Q. Does it work in metric?

The app is inch-first (SFM, inches, IPM), aimed at US shops. The Converter handles SFM ↔ m/min and inch ↔ mm, and the Tapping calculator includes metric threads. A fuller metric mode is planned for a future update.

Q. Where is my data stored?

Everything you enter — calculations, history, setup sheets, settings — is stored only on your device. Nothing is sent to the developer’s servers. Uninstalling the app removes its data.

Q. Can I back up my data?

Yes. In Settings → Backup, tap “Export backup” to write your history, setup sheets and settings to a single file, and share or store it wherever you like. On a new device, use “Restore from backup” to import it. Note that restoring replaces the data currently on the device. Your Pro unlock is tied to your Apple ID rather than the backup file — after restoring data on a new device, tap “Restore purchase” on the Pro screen.

Q. Does it work offline?

Yes. The app is designed to work without a connection — on the shop floor, in the garage, anywhere.

Q. Is there an Android version?

Not yet — CNC Setup Sheet is currently iOS only (iPhone and iPad). An Android version is under consideration.

Q. Billing and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds follow the App Store’s policy — request one at Apple’s report a problem page. The developer cannot process refunds individually.
